The newly commissioned slitting line represents another major milestone in the company’s continuous investment in advanced manufacturing technologies. From project planning and equipment selection to installation and commissioning, the entire project required approximately six months to complete. Throughout the implementation process, Centersky Electric’s engineering team worked closely with equipment suppliers, carrying out multiple rounds of technical optimization to address critical challenges associated with processing premium electrical steel, including slitting accuracy, surface protection, and residual stress control. These efforts resulted in substantial improvements in both equipment performance and manufacturing capability.
Designed to process a wide range of premium electrical steel grades and thicknesses, the new slitting line delivers micron-level dimensional accuracy while maintaining excellent edge quality. The processed laminations feature burr-free edges, minimal deformation, and significantly improved surface flatness, representing a 40% improvement over the previous production line. These enhancements help reduce magnetic losses during core stacking and improve the overall performance of finished magnetic cores by achieving lower core loss, greater dimensional stability, and enhanced operational reliability.
To further strengthen quality assurance, the production line is equipped with an intelligent online inspection system that continuously monitors strip dimensions and surface quality throughout the manufacturing process.
